Effective June 2, 2026
All purchases on LanternSurface are in credits. Credits are a prepaid unit consumed by API calls at a flat rate of 200 credits per call. Credits are nonrefundable once consumed by a completed API request.
You may request a refund for unused credits within 14 days of purchase, provided:
Refunds for eligible unused credits will be issued to the original payment method via Stripe, minus any processing fees Stripe charges us for the refund.
If credits were consumed as a result of a verifiable platform error on our end (such as a billing double charge or a response that returned no content due to a server fault), we will credit your account with the equivalent number of credits at no charge. Contact us with the relevant request identifiers and we will investigate promptly.
Refund requests made more than 14 days after the original purchase date will not be honored, regardless of whether credits remain unused.
If your account is terminated due to violations of our terms of service, any remaining credits are forfeited and no refund will be issued.

We may update this refund policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
